An Unforgettable Day for Our 6th Classes at the Ombudsman for Children’s Office!
In April, both of our 6th Classes had the incredible opportunity to visit the Ombudsman for Children’s Office in Dublin—a truly memorable experience for all involved!
The adventure began bright and early at Kent Station, where the girls set off with great excitement. Spirits were high as they boarded the train, enjoying laughs, snacks, and plenty of chatter along the way. The journey continued with a thrilling ride on the Luas, adding an extra layer of fun and adventure to the day.
Upon arrival in Dublin, the girls received a warm and friendly welcome from the team at the Ombudsman’s office. They engaged in interactive activities, asked insightful questions, and learned all about the important work the office does to promote and protect children’s rights in Ireland. It was both an educational and empowering experience that sparked thoughtful discussions and deepened their understanding of active citizenship.
After the visit, there was even time for some exploring and a few treats, rounding off what was truly a fantastic day out. The girls returned home tired but happy, with wonderful memories and new knowledge to share.
A big thank you to everyone who helped make this visit possible—it’s a day our 6th Classes won’t soon forget!
