Senior Infants – 2020
Teacher : Miss O’ Reilly
1st-5th June 2020
It is hard to believe that June is here already! I really hope you are enjoying the great weather. I know I am! 😊
Thank you for all of the work that has been uploaded to Seesaw this week. I really loved hearing all of your nursery rhymes and poems! You are all fantastic! 😊
Since this week is a Bank Holiday, we have decided not to assign any written work for Monday or Tuesday. Instead I have included lots of fun art and drama activities that might be nice to try together!
Send lots of photos if you get up to anything nice over the weekend. I love seeing and hearing all of your news!
Have a great week and keep in touch.
Miss you all!
25th – 29th May 2020
I hope that you are all well and have enjoyed plenty of sunshine and fresh air this week. The weather forecast videos that you sent me on Seesaw were brilliant and I think we may have some future news and weather reporters in time to come! 😊
Each day without fail I am sent work, photos, voice recordings and drawings and it is really is wonderful to see! Even in the times we are in it is lovely to see so much enthusiasm and dedication from you all with your school work. You are all super girls and I am so proud of all of you! 😊
Our next whole school theme for the next fortnight is ‘Summer’ and there are some lovely activities available here. Some of them have been incorporated into our weekly plan. Our work for the week of 25th-29th of May is available here. I have also included some extra maths activities if anyone would like them and click here for a lovely activity on mini-beasts that you might see around the garden in the summer. If I find anything else that might be helpful I will post it on Seesaw.
Have a great week! 😊

18th- 22nd May 2020
I hope that all of you are safe and well this week. The weather has been so nice so I have been doing lots of gardening at home (I will post some photos of what I have been growing on Seesaw if you would like to have a look!) and I can see from your photos that I am not the only one spending lots of time outside in the garden getting some fresh air.
Thank you for all of the wonderful work that you have sent me over the last number of weeks. It is great to see such enthusiasm and hard work from Senior Infants! You have made me a very proud teacher 😊 and thank you for all of the help that you have been getting from your parents and guardians.
I will continue to post activities on Seesaw this week and they will be highlighted on the weekly work plan. Keep up the great work that all of you have been doing! You all have my email if you need any questions or queries answered – [email protected]. I’m always happy to help! 😊

Hello Senior Infants!
I hope you are all keeping well. I am back again with another weekly update! Firstly I will begin by saying that I am so proud of the work that you have all be sending to me through Seesaw and email. I can see that being away from the classroom has not stopped your imaginations from doing its job. I really do love seeing all of the work and activities you have been sending me so please do continue to update me with all of the creations and activities you are making and doing!
Seesaw is working very well for us at the moment and I will continue to post activities for you on the class page each week. You will see in the work plan that these activities are highlighted in blue so that you know when a new activity will be going up! As I mention each week do not feel under pressure to complete all of the work or seesaw activities. Do what you can!
If any parent has any questions or queries I am available to answer them all through my email: [email protected]
Our whole school theme for the next fortnight will be ‘Gardening’ and a list of these activities is available here. There are some really lovely ideas on the theme so please feel free to send me photos or videos of any of the activities you try. Keep up the super work that you are doing! 😊
Missing you all!
I hope everyone is keeping safe and well at home. We have been so lucky with the weather in the last few weeks so I hope that everyone is enjoying the lovely sunshine when they can. It is hard to believe that the month of May is already here!
I would like to say a big thank you to everyone for all of the work that has been submitted to me on Seesaw so far. I am so proud of the fantastic work that the senior infants have been posting. It has been a great success! The hard work from parents and family who have been helping you to access all of the activities is much appreciated!
I will be posting more activities on Seesaw this week.
As always the plan of work for this week is only a guide so please do not feel under pressure to finish it all. Also as it is a bank holiday this week I have included some nice art activities to get stuck into!
A reminder of the class email if you need to contact me for anything: [email protected]
Have a lovely week, keep smiling and stay safe! 😊

You have all been very busy playing and learning! 😊 Thank you also for all of the photos of your work and activities that you have sent me!
I have attached a new work plan for next week. Along with this we will we be beginning to use the platform ‘Seesaw’ as a communication tool between myself and students. I will email each parent with their access code for the website and that will grant you access to the class page. I will be posting one activity a week to start us off!
If you have any queries or questions about Seesaw or any of the work mentioned please do not hesitate to email me at [email protected] and I will be more than happy to help you in any way that I can. I hope you are all keeping well and that you and your families have had a lovely Easter at home. I am sure that you have been very busy over the last few weeks doing your work and reading lots of stories. I understand that it might seem strange being away from our lovely classroom for the last while but it will be all the more exciting when we do eventually get back to school! 😊
I know that you are all being very good for your parents by doing lots of jobs to help out and reminding them of all of the lovely songs and rhymes that you have learnt in Senior Infants, especially the ones that we had been preparing for the Córfhéile. I wonder would you be able to teach your family some of the dances to go with the songs? Give it a try!
I have made up a scheme of work for the next week but as always this is only a suggestion. I am aware that this is a busy time for parents so please do not feel under pressure to complete all of the work.
Keep up the great work girls! 😊

I really hope that all the girls in Senior Infants are keeping well! This is a plan of work that I have created to keep your daughter busy and learning over the next while. I understand that this is a busy time for parents and please do not feel under pressure to cover all of this content. Do whatever is feasible for you in your own situation.
I appreciate your continued support during this time, and I hope to see you all again soon!
